The Art
Art that begins
where nature does.
Every Petals to Stems creation begins not with paper, but with a real flower. Artist Ingrid Blanco carefully deconstructs each bloom — studying the architecture of every petal, the weight of each leaf, the way light moves through a translucent magnolia cup at dusk.
Only then does the paper begin. Working with the finest German and Italian crepe paper — materials chosen for their unmatched ability to hold shape, accept color, and replicate the delicate texture of living petals — Ingrid hand-forms each element with the precision of a botanical sculptor.
I deconstruct real flowers — petal by petal — to understand every curve, every shadow, before I ever touch the paper.
The result is not a replica. It is a reinterpretation — informed by nature, elevated by artistry, and utterly permanent. No two pieces are ever identical. Like the flowers that inspire them, each one is its own singular thing.
